Spring 2015- Random

Random photos/ events from March, April, and May 2015.

March:

Spaghetti Night

Hide and Seek

Playing in Mommy's closet. (Why, yes, that IS a feminine hygiene product stuck to Alice's shirt like a giant sticker. lol.)

A lot of random photos of Alice because Daniel goes to school now too and she's the one I have with me the most during the day.

Alice at Goodwill

Daniel is potty trained now (well, he still wears a pull-up at nap and bedtime), but he still thinks he earns an M&M every time he goes pee pee in the potty... These are his attempts to build a ladder to get to the bag of M&M's that we keep on the top shelf of that cabinet.

I lost my shit when I found this one:

Reason #3,417 we are late.

One of my least favorite things in the world is having to wake the kids from their naps to go pick up from school. Look at how sweetly she's sleeping. Awe.

April:
April was Autism Acceptance Month and April 2 was World Autism Awareness Day. Part of the campaign is to "light it up blue". So, we wore our blue on April 2nd in love and support of our friends on the spectrum.

I spent a better part of a Saturday at GiGi's working on board health and stuff... Derek Young was there to help get us motivated. It was a great session.

She wanted to play out in the backyard. I told her to go inside and get her shoes. She came back out in sunglasses and carrying a pair of mismatched boots.

Buddy Up Tennis! Etta went to her first Buddy Up Tennis session over in Murfreesboro. Keith took her and Daniel and Alice stayed with me that day. Keith says she had fun, but had a difficult time staying focused on the activity and they ended up leaving after about 45 minutes because she had obviously had enough (the session lasts for an hour and a half). Maybe next time she'll stay a little longer. We haven't had a chance to go back because of weather and other commitments. The next session is June 6th, which we will try to make.

WE'VE GOT A RUNNER!! Ha!

I went to the memorial service for Grandma Marsh at Aunt Becky/Jillian's house.

Dollar Tree find:

Shopping at Party City. Getting ready for Alice's birthday party.

Alice playing on the swing at Feltz Therapy (where Daniel receives speech therapy)

May:

We went up to GiGi's to play and say goodbye to Cayla on her last day.
Cayla was our site coordinator. She helped us get our doors open a year and a half ago. She made the decision in mid-April to move back to Oregon and her last day was May 2nd. So, we got her a couple of gifts and had a farewell party with cake! (Daniel and Daddy stayed home to plant a few bushes.)

Cammie came to say goodbye to Cayla too. Etta loves her Cammie.

We celebrated Finley's 3rd birthday.

Daniel and Etta got to go swimming for the first time this season while we were at Finley's birthday party. The temperature was in the 80's, but the water was still pretty chilly. Daniel was reluctant to get in the water, but Etta jumped right in (and we had to force her to get out when she started turning blue).
The birthday girl! Hard to believe how big she is now. Happy Birthday, Finley!

I spent Mother's Day on this couch on the back porch. And I mean, I sat there ALL day! It was pretty great!

We spotted a bunny while we were out playing in the sprinkler.

Humm.... Guess we weren't really paying attention and someone got into the mud... lol.

We wrapped up the Spring Literacy Session with Cammie at GiGi's Playhouse

Daddy bought himself a "tractor".

Daniel's class party for the last day of school. (He will go back for "summer camp" on June 8th)

Daniel and Ms. Shanna

Daniel and Ms. Ashley

This is his best friend, Harper Grace. Daniel talks about her ALL the time. So glad I finally got to meet her. :)

I went to the premiere of the movie Where Hope Grows. The writer/director, Chris Dowling, just happened to be in Nashville on opening night. So, he came by the theater for a little Q&A after the movie was over.

I have been working on a big project for GiGi's Playhouse with my new Cricut! I bought a bunch of cups and water bottles and I put our logo on them with vinyl. I think they turned out cute! Now, let's see if anyone buys them...

We spent our final weekend in May playing outside in between the rain showers. We got a lot of heavy rain this weekend, but we still managed to have some fun in the backyard! :)

Oh, yeah. This happened.... Ha!

Next up: Etta turns SEVEN tomorrow- June 1st! Woah!
