I know kids don't NEED a theme for their birthday parties, but I really wanted to make sure we celebrated Daniel's birthday with something really fun for HIM. I was feeling a little guilty about how much time I had been spending away from the kids in October (blog on that later) and I was starting to feel like poor Daniel's birthday was falling through the cracks. So, I had to do a little thinking about what makes him happy and what he really enjoys playing with when it occurred to me that he LOVES his Cozy Coupe (aka "Fred Flintstone Car"). Then, I pulled a little party together around this idea.
We didn't have a TON of party guests because Daniel just doesn't really like big crowds and I wanted him to feel comfortable at his own party. I had my friend Lydia over at Layne James Embroidery and Designs make his SUPER adorable shirt and a local baker, Dorea Johnston came through again with an awesome cake (she even did his name like the "little tikes." logo)! I used some painter's tape to make a road and we had four cars and voila! We had a Cozy Coupe party! (Because people asked: we actually own three of those cars and the fourth car was one I donated to GiGi's Playhouse that afternoon. We need two because they were fighting over the one in the backyard. I got such a great deal on them that I bought the third one for Alice cause we WILL need it in a year.)
And............. WE'RE OFF!

Karis is just a *tiny* bit excited about the cake.
Really. She was literally trembling with excitement.
I think I let out a little squeal when I cut into the cake and saw that Dorea had carried the theme into the color of the actual cake! LOVE!!
Love this shot of beautiful Erin and sweet little Brady peeking our of his Ergo.
(I love when little kids kneel/squat down to look at something.)
Jumping Etta! (Her grandmothers weren't completely prepared. lol.)

We hope you had a great party, Daniel! We love you!
