October! Yay!

I love October! It's a month for cooler weather and changing leaves and pumpkin patches. October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month AND Breast Cancer Awareness Month which means we will attend our local Down Syndrome Association's Buddy Walk and (usually) the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Keith and I celebrate our anniversary in October. This year makes 8! This is also the month we celebrate Daniel's birthday!

With October, always comes "Zellerfest". A gathering for Keith's family which includes food, bonfires, and camping. Well, *I* don't camp, but many of his family members do and I know Keith is excited to camp this year (I wouldn't let him overnight out there last year since I was so close to my due date).

And, of course, October means Halloween! We pretty much have a basket of candy on the counter for the entire month and I always end up buying more for the trick-or-treaters by the end of the month because we've eaten so much of it. lol.

So, while October is usually insanely busy, it is one of my favorite months and I excitedly turned the calendar page today! Happy October!
