Traffic and parking was a mess this year because Centennial Park is across the street from the Vanderbilt University stadium and Vandy was playing Auburn that day. We managed to hop a curb and find a spot that wasn't too far from the festivities and, after we got the dog puke cleaned up, we loaded the kids into the wagon and headed over to check in at Buddy Walk. It was a cool day yesterday, but not cold. Etta seemed to like the personalized cape she got to wear because our team raised over $250. She looked really cute in it! Etta hadn't slept well the night before, so about halfway through the actual walk she started crying for seemingly no reason. I gave her a binkie (which is the ONLY thing that will bring her back down after one of those meltdowns) and we continued on our way. Daniel didn't nap on the way up (as I had planned for him to do) and I kept hoping he'd fall asleep in the carrier, but he never did. So, they were both a mess by the time we left around 12:30 (D passed out in the car fairly quickly, E took a long nap after we got home).
Even with the tired littles, we had a great time! It was a good chance to visit with Keith's parents and to see some of our sweet little friends who have Ds.
