They started the party with a fun snack with lots of items to choose from on their plates. Etta chose to eat the cheese, a couple bites of yogurt covered pretzels, mandarin oranges, goldfish, and mini cupcake. She also SUCKED DOWN that juice box!
After snack, they moved on to center rotations.
Etta's first center/ activity was "pin the nose on the snowman". Mrs. Hunt tried covering Etta's eyes, because she wouldn't close them. She just found this annoying. Ha! They played the game about four times, each time finding a way to make it a little more difficult (by the end, the teachers were spinning the kids in circles AND covering their eyes).

After the timer went off again, we moved over to the gingerbread house decorating table. The "gingerbread" houses were really make out of graham crackers on a milk carton frame. Etta did pretty well spreading the icing all over the house, while also enjoying a few licks off of her knife (and once or twice licking the house from foundation to roof). We tried adding candies as decoration, but she ate them off almost as soon as Ms Kristen and I put them on.
We had to pull her hair back because she kept leaning forward to lick the icing off of the house and her hair was falling into it.

Can you spot Etta's house? Hint: It's the most naked of them all.
When the timer went off for the final time, we all moved over to the circle time carpet and Mrs. Hunt handed out gifts from the teachers to the kids and then she helped the kids pass out the gifts they had made to give to their parents. Etta was sweet when she handed me our gift. Then, I helped Etta pass out the cards we had made for her teachers/therapists.
We made these little Hand-print Rudolph cards at home and I put a couple gift cards in each one to give as gifts.
Then, we packed up and headed back home. Daniel was still asleep when I got home (I had only been gone for an hour-and-a-half) and Alice had JUST gone to sleep. Etta enjoyed vegging on the couch with her ipad for a bit before Daniel got up and we moved to the play room upstairs.
We hope everyone has a wonderful break from school!
