Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day to my dad
and my step-dad
and my father-in-law
and Pop
and, of course, my husband!
This morning, after giving Keith a couple of small gifts, which included a personalized bottle opener key chain and a framed copy of that moustache picture (which, by the way, he didn't know about until he opened it this morning. I made him close his eyes while we were taking the picture and he only opened them long enough to smile when the shutter went off).

Keith decided weeks ago that for Father's Day he wanted to take the kids to the the swim beach at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville. There is always a lot of effort involved with the packing up and kid-wrangling and the hour drive, but I think it was worth it. Etta loved splashing around in the water with her Daddy (she is really getting the hang of using her Puddle Jumper as a floatie. She kicks back and just hangs out in the water) and Daniel and I mostly hung out on a picnic blanket under an umbrella.

We always try for a family photo (they don't always turn out. lol)

There's just something about Doritos when you're on a beach...
(did you see how cute she was resting her feet on mine? lol)

Beach Feet!
Both kids crashed on the ride home and we took it pretty easy around the house for the rest of the day.
(don't mind all the STUFF in the back of the van. We're getting ready for a big fundraiser yard sale for GiGi's Playhouse and I've been collecting donated items!)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day!
