While my Dad and Chris were here, we spent a day (well, a couple hours, really) at Opryland Hotel *trying* to get ONE good family picture for our card. Well, there were an awful lot of tears involved, but we managed one usable photo! It happens every year, really. We try to get a picture and Etta melts down. And you just have to try and keep a sense of humor about it, which we managed to do. Even though I was a little worried that we got the kids dressed up and drove all the way out there for nothing.
For every one cute picture you see, there are about 1,877,346,720,923,726 others that you don't see... because they look like this:

and a few more:
For those of you who didn't know me seven years ago, Keith and I got married at Opryland. In this exact spot.
It is always neat to go back and revisit the spot where we said forever, and even more special this year as we hold another new life in our arms. (of course, our first-born didn't want to have anything to do with making a family photo in this special spot... maybe next year?? HAHAHA! I almost snorted Code Red Mt. Dew out of my nose just typing that!)
and can I get a big "Awwwww" for this picture of my dad walking with Etta down the same aisle he (and my mom) walked me down:
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
Okay. Fine. One more... for good measure. ;)
