Dickens of a Christmas 2011

Historic Downtown Franklin holds an event every year in December honoring the works of Charles Dickens, namely "A Christmas Carol" and "Oliver Twist". They shut down Main Street and have street venders and performers and people walking around dressed as Dickens' characters. It's always a great way to spend a Saturday morning.... and that's just what we did!

We got going a little later than I had hoped, but that's kinda the story of my life these days. It was a beautiful, but chilly day. It took us about 20 minutes to find a place to park, but we did! We bundled the kids up and off we went to wander Main Street and mingle with the characters. It was a great morning with my sweet little family. :)

Etta loved the little petting zoo. :)

Back to the scene of the crime! Keith and I had our first date at this Baskin Robbins on February 13, 2003. Yup, that means that this February we will have been together for NINE years!
