One of the VERY best parts of making it to Buddy Walk was that our friends The Slattery's (who moved away to South Carolina about a year and a half ago) were coming back to Nashville for the weekend to attend Buddy Walk!! It was SO great to see them! Julia and I did this slow-motion running toward each other movie-type hug. And I cried and she did too. Their daughter Piper is SUCH a big girl now and they even have a new little, Finley, who I was thrilled to meet! I sure miss them!

Anyway, a bunch of us walked together for the one mile walk around the pond at Centennial Park. It was actually a VERY slow walk and it turned out there was a promotional truck parked along the way giving out Dr. Pepper 10's slowing everyone down. Etta was the most frustrated with this slow pace. She was ready to go Go GO! But it was still nice. The weather could not have been more perfect.
By the time we got to the finish line, Etta was DONE! We actually thought her meltdown was pretty funny...
We hung around for a bit after the walk and had lunch before heading home. And, I was EXHAUSTED!
