Egg Hunt 2013

The plan for yesterday was to go to "Dragon Park" in Nashville for the annual DSAMT Egg Hunt, but the night before they moved the event to the DSAMT offices because the ground might be too soggy to enjoy the day. I was a little disappointed as I had been hoping for an outdoor egg hunt. So, we switched gears and decided to check out an egg hunt here in Spring Hill that was being held especially for children and adults with special needs. Let me just say- I am really glad we went to this event! Of course, we missed our Ds family on Saturday, but the people putting on this other event and the families in attendance we're so warm and welcoming that I was grateful for this back-up plan (and now I hope that next year the events will not be held on the same day/same time so we can attend both).

The ground WAS soggy and it was a *little* chilly, but we really did enjoy ourselves! (Well, until Etta fell apart because she was just DONE and Daniel started to fall apart because he still likes to take a morning nap and it just wasn't going to happen yesterday).

Photo overload!
Etta saw the bunny coming down the hill and she ran toward him...

..but she quickly stopped short when he got a little too close! lol.

I told Keith to hold up the basket for the picture, but didn't realize he was holding E's basket. Ha!

WE'VE GOT A RUNNER!! (again!)

CHOCOLATE!

Daniel shoved an entire piece of chocolate in his mouth and Daddy kept him from choking on it. Cracked me up!
