After the kids finished digging through their baskets, we had breakfast and hung out while we waited for Keith's family to arrive. Keith spent some of this time prepping food for our lunch.
A little before 10:30 Keith's parents, grandparents, sister, Jessica, and her husband, Mike arrived. Daniel was down for a nap, but Etta did a pretty good job keeping the crowd entertained all by herself! ;)
Daniel eventually woke up and we ate a huge lunch (burgers, pulled pork, fries, and a bunch of other sides). Keith's mom made a cake for dessert!
After we ate, the kids checked out the baskets that Grandmomma and Granddaddy brought for them.
Then, we *tried* to do those dissolvable sponge capsule things with the kids, but the activity was too slow moving to keep their interest (maybe in a few years they'll "get it").
We also did a little indoor egg hunt (it rained off and on today so we didn't go outside). Etta was happy to open each egg and find her single jelly bean (we learned a couple years ago that she needs some immediate gratification with the eggs or she doesn't *really* get the point of picking them up. So, we usually put a single jelly bean/M&M/fruit snack in each one.)
Not long after the egg hunt, the crowd dispersed, the kids went down for a nap (as you can see in that last picture, Etta was SO ready for a nap), and I CRASHED for about two-and-a-half hours (I was SO ready for a nap too!)! I had a great time, but the weekend wiped me out! I suspect we're all going to have a tough time adjusting back to a school schedule tomorrow morning (Etta was on Spring Break all last week).
With that, goodnight!
