Cooper Turns Two!

Our friend Cooper had a party this morning to celebrate his 2nd birthday.  Erin texted me this morning saying that she was experiencing vertigo and didn't feel comfortable driving.  So, I offered to drive all of us up to Nashville for the party.  I got over to Erin's house a little later than I had planned and then we spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to squeeze three full-size car seats into my car.  We did it though!  I had been to Cooper's house before, but it had been a while and I couldn't remember the last couple of turns.  So, I asked Erin to get the directions for me and she did.  Then we were off!
Etta DID NOT like sitting so close to Karis.  She was fine until Karis cried.  Poor little E cried all the way to Cooper's house, which was a long drive because Erin had typed in the wrong address.  I thought it was interesting that her directions took us down Old Hickory toward Bellevue, but I didn't question it too much, since i figured Google knew what they were talking about.  I began asking more questions as it became clear we were going to Bellevue.  When Erin said "Coley Davis Road", I KNEW we weren't going to the right place. (Lauren, you'll love this).  She had somehow searched for StoneyBrook Rd instead of Stoneway.  We almost went to Lauren's house!  Erin doesn't even know Lauren.  Haha!

Anyway, we eventually arrived at Coopers house... an hour late... with crying babies who were ready to be out of the car, but at least Erin and I had a nice long visit in the car!  Once we were at the party, Etta had a great time walking around, checking things/toys out.  She never really sat still.  Well, she sat still for the cake.  That was all she ate.  Cake.  She had a NutriGrain bar for breakfast and birthday cake for lunch.  yup.  Mom of the Year. *sigh*
Coop ate Cool Whip instead of cake.  He has some texture issues with food, but LOVES Cool Whip!  Can you tell?  haha.

Coop got a little piano for his birthday and Etta LOVED it!  She even got creative and played it with her foot and with her bum (she sat and stood and sat and stood to make it play).
We left a little before 1:00 and Etta started crying as soon as Karis was put in the car seat next to her.  The drive back wasn't as long though, and Erin and I got to visit some more.  :)

Etta went to sleep as soon as we got home.  She is still napping (3 hours later).  It's 4:50.  She's going to be up until 10 tonight!  I don't care, she needs this sleep.  I bet she'll be pretty hungry when she wakes up.  (Remember, all she's had today is a cereal bar and a piece of cake.)
