Monday- Took some pictures on our front porch of Etta wearing a sweet little appliqued shirt that our friend Lydia made for her (LayneJames Embroidery). We got to therapy early on accident. So, Etta got to play with Ms. Yolanda for 30 minutes. She chased her around the halls so I didn't have to! :) Then she had OT with Mrs. Shelby for an hour and Speech with Mrs. Patty for 30 minutes. THEN, we met Keith for lunch at Mexicalli! MMmmm! Home for a nap, played in the playroom until dinner/bath/bedtime. Etta was a little restless (coughing, congestion) and woke around 3:00am. She decided it was a great time to play in her room for about half an hour. yikes!
Tuesday- We had a 30 minute make-up session with KidTalk at High Hopes at 8:45. After KidTalk, we went home and played in the playroom. That night, Etta was still a little congested. I think it may be seasonal allergies.
Wednesday- KidTalk at 8:30, OT at 9:00, home by 10:30, power was out for about 30 minutes, bug guy came around 11:30 (while E is having lunch), I put Etta in her bed for a nap a little late, she didn't fall asleep for an hour and a half, then slept for an hour and a half, didn't get to run afternoon errands (grocery store, etc...). When Etta got up, I noticed that our gate to the back yard was WIDE open (didn't latch after bug guy left) and Cassie (our sweet, elderly, nearly deaf, and arthritic dog) was missing from the yard (Fluffy was still back there).
I threw E in the car and we started down our street. I found Cassie on the street parallel to ours at the back of an empty lot. I'm not sure how long she was out, but she was HOT and THIRSTY. SO glad she didn't make it far and that she didn't get hit by a car or anything awful! After we got Cassie back in the backyard, E and I played in her playroom for the rest of the afternoon. Etta was kinda cranky, I noticed that she is cutting FOUR teeth right now, and I started getting a bit of a sore throat (Etta still showing some signs of congestion). Oh! and one of my besties, Lauren started contractions- ON HER DUE DATE!
Thursday- Etta woke up at 5:15 and never went back to sleep! (she usually gets up around 6:15-6:30). YAWN! KidTalk at 8:45, Went by E's pediatrician's office to fill out a request form for her immunization record for her school, home by 10:00, lunch at 10:30, nap from 11:00-1:00, talk to Deanne on the ride up to Vanderbilt for Etta's appointment at the NICU Follow-Up Clinic at 2:00. She weighs 21lbs and is 31 inches tall. :) left there around 3:30, stop back by her pedi office to pick up immunization record, then HOME! I started feeling a little sicker as the evening began. Took some Nyquil, went to bed at about 8:30. Still no Baby Liam, Lauren is laboring at home.
Friday- Etta woke up at 5:00 (again!?!?!). This time, she goes back to sleep after I put her back in bed. She has school at 9:00, I meet Mel at a consignment sale in Brentwood, Got a text from Lauren that they we at the hospital and had just started an epidural. Mel and I find some great things for E at the consignment sale! Mel follows me back into downtown Franklin, I park my car and ride with Mel over to a nearby thrift store to kill a few extra minutes, go pick up Etta, walk across the parking lot to Puckett's for lunch. Yummy lunch! Head back home, Etta naps for 2.5 hours (longer than usual), I finally win a bid on a hotel room for our anniversary trip to Gatlinburg using Priceline Negotiator. I chitty chat with my mom (after playing phone tag all morning), I still feel congested, but now my stomach feels a little sour. Etta wakes and we play in the playroom, LIAM IS BORN! !!! Happy Birthday, Liam! Congratulations to Lauren and Dustin! Love you guys!
Keith comes home, Etta has dinner/gets a bath/ has snuggle time/ goes to bed. I get to talk to the new Mama, Lauren and make plans to come visit Sunday (I was DYING to go up to the hospital tonight, but if I'm sick, I don't want to pass that on). My tummy feels better as the evening goes on, still congested. Heading to bed.
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the weekend!!HAPPY WEEKEND!
