New Play Structure For Our Yard!

While Lito and Lita were here back in February, we went up to Franklin one day during nap time and before I knew it, they were buying one of those awesome, giant play structures for our backyard.

We had to wait and wait for two things: 1. we had to wait for the play set to arrive and 2. we had to get approval from our HOA's Architectural Review Committee to have a play structure in our backyard. As I am sure you can guess, I got the call that the play set had arrived before I got the email that the ARC had approved it. So, I had to tell Bob that I would call him back to schedule the installation.

The big day finally arrived on Monday, March 30th! I was so excited for the kids! The big kids were at school that day so they had no idea what was going on.

The guys were still out there working when Alice and I left to get Daniel and Etta from school, so I closed all of the blinds before we left and I ushered them straight up to the playroom as soon as we got home. Once the guys were all done, we went out to see the big surprise!

We had a string of great weather days following the installation of the play set, so we spent a TON of time outside last week!

I added a little table and brought some play food out to the "house".

Adding to the backyard fun, Daddy installed the tree swing on Thursday. Etta absolutely LOVES it! Daniel begs for his turn and then cries that he's scared. Alice just scares the crap out of me with her daredevil lean-back move. Ha!
