We started the morning off with a Zebra Cake, of course! (Zebra Cake story HERE and scroll down to the Entry titled "Zebra Cake".) The very basic story of the Zebra Cake is that I had eaten one on the day she was born and every year we give her one on her actual birthday.
1st Birthday
2nd Birthday
3rd Birthday
4th Birthday
5th Birthday
AND 6th Birthday!

Of course, Daniel gets Zebra Cakes for breakfast too!
But No Zebra Cake for little Pixie this year (she had cake at the party).
Etta told us all morning that it was her "birthday". She really "got it" this year! We gave her a few gifts that morning. Most of the gifts were Frozen themed, of course.
The theme for Etta's party this year was inspired by the Disney movie "Frozen". I had the invitations made to look like they belonged in the movie.
Since it's pretty tight in our little apartment, we hosted her Coronation Party at GiGi's Playhouse this year!
I spent a couple of weeks building this castle out of moving boxes. I plan to post a "how to" blog on how I built it.
Once again, our cake was created by the AMAZING Dorea Johnston at Tis so Sweet in Thompson's Station.
We provided princess and knight dress up costumes for our party goers. (The costumes were also the "party favors".)
Princess Etta loved her castle! (She kept referring to herself as "Anna", the character from the movie she is dressed up as)
Sir Daniel protects the cake with all his might.
(This photo cracks me up every time I see it! Daniel REALLY wanted that cake! HAHAHA!)

Her Royal Highness, Princess Etta, joins in a Royal Portrait with her grandparents:
We tried to stop and open presents, but her Royal Highness was much too interested in Coronation Snacks.
These are the best Royal Family Portraits we were able to manage.
After we cleaned up the Royal Grounds, Princess Etta insisted that her Royal Subjects treat her to dinner at the Mexican Restaurant across from GiGis Playhouse. We obliged, of course. We did not take many Royal Photographs of her Coronation Meal because the Princess also insisted that she use The Queen's phone to watch her Royal Netflix.
(This VIDEO started out as a cute video of Alice feeding her Daddy, but it turned into a pretty funny kiss-a-thon)
We think she had a great day celebrating her 6th Birthday! This was one of the final shots of the night- playing with her Olaf balloon.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Etta!! We hope you had the most wonderful day!
(I'm preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure Olaf has plans to kill us in our sleep)
