Keith's birthday was on Monday. He took the day off so we could spend it together. He had hoped to take the kids swimming or to go try out a local "splash pad".
It ended up raining most of the day, so no splash pad, but I think we still managed to make it a great day!
We headed out to a restaurant called Toot's in Murfreesboro. It's a fun place and you sort of feel like you're on vacation when you're in there. It has a similar vibe as Hooter's but it's a little family friendlier. They have kid's meals on the menu, but they also offer a FREE hot dog basket for kids!
Not just the hot dog, you get a side item (we went with fries for one and fresh fruit for the other and split the sides between the two). AND THEN, the waitress tells us that the FREE kid's meal ALSO comes with ice cream! This was something she sort of whispered to us incase we didn't want to let our kids have it. We told her to bring it on! The kids LOVED the ice cream! Daniel was especially fired up after he finished!
SQUEEEEEEE!!! Sugar Rush!!
After lunch, we went over to the Discovery Center to play.
