I attempted to "sleep-in" with Alice this morning following her 6:00am bottle, but she didn't really sleep well (She usually goes back to sleep in the mornings. Well, she still sleeps a lot in general...). I think she was having some gas pain or something? I'm not sure, really. Either way, she didn't sleep well, so neither did I. I finally gave up and got up at about 8:30 and went for a shower.
My Dad and Chris are here (and will be here for another week-and-a-half. Stay tuned for the blog post dedicated to their visit after they leave). They were hanging out with the big kids while I "slept-in" and Keith went to Publix. Keith's parents arrived a little after 10:00 to join us for my birthday lunch celebration. We played with the kids and visited with each other until Keith pulled the steaks off the grill and we sat down to eat. Of course, the food was really good!
A little while after dinner, I received a few cards/gifts and I was presented with a cake with 33 candles on it!Mel and Rick headed home soon after we finished cake and ice cream and we put Etta down or a nap and then we took it easy the rest of the afternoon.
Since it was JUST Etta's birthday last week, she thought it was HER job to blow out the candles. lol. So, I let her help me. ;)
My Dad had more fun playing with Etta's new fish puppet/catch mitt than she did!
Thanks for all of the Facebook birthday wishes today! I loved hearing my phone buzz all day with notifications. ;)
