Alice Pregnancy- 30 Weeks!

Thought it might be time to do a pregnancy update!
28 weeks

Not TOO much to report.

We're just sort of rocking along. I have gained 24 pounds, which is more than I had gained at this point in Daniel's pregnancy (and for sure in Etta's pregnancy. She was tiny and I didn't gain much with her. I can't remember for sure, but I didn't gain much more than about 25lbs with Etta's whole pregnancy.). I'm blaming it on the fact that I never lost all of the baby weight when I got pregnant this time around. (That's a "thing", right? It can't have anything to do with the fact that I crave Zaxby's any time I'm in Franklin. Right?)

I had to start taking Prevaid daily earlier in this pregnancy. It definitely helps keep the heartburn under control! I'm also taking an iron supplement because I'm slightly anemic (as I have been in all three pregnancies).

The baby moves a lot, but the strength and frequency of the movements aren't as strong as Daniel. It's more like Etta's pregnancy. I really only notice her when I'm sitting/resting/sleeping. (video)

I'm not sleeping well. I take a hot shower and a couple Tylenol before bed each night and that seems to help some, but, my hips and back still hurt and I get up 3-4 times a night to pee. Then, when I get back in bed, I have to deal with Keith's snoring. He's ended up on the couch a *few* times! I've been managing a nap most afternoons. The kids have been overlapping naptime for about 45 minutes - 1 hour and I've been taking advantage of that!

So, I have nine weeks left to go. Hard to believe I'm going to the OB bi-weekly now (and will go weekly after about 35-36 weeks). Unless Alice chooses her own birthday, she will be here the last week of April. We have scheduled the c-section for April 26th which was my Papa's birthday (my mom's dad).

Hard to believe that in two months and one week, we'll have another little person living in our family! Time to start going through Etta's baby clothes and prepping my newborn cloth diaper stash!

***for my own record keeping, I meant to add that I feel hiccups regularly and that my fundal height measurement is consistently measuring a week behind (totally normal, but wanted to note. Etta consistently measured two or three weeks behind and Daniel measured pretty much on target his whole pregnancy.)
