Wenzler Christmas 2012

This morning we headed up to Nashville to celebrate Christmas with Keith's family. We got there a little before 10:00 and spent time visiting and opening gifts. Mel was excited to show off her vintage tinsel tree. It spun as music chimed. There was also this color wheel thing that you're supposed to use to project the color onto the tree. I thought it was neat, but I think she really washed it off and set it up for Granny's sake. :)

The kids randomly/sporadically opened gifts throughout our visit up there and the adults had a "Dirty Santa" gift exchange- the one where people can steal gifts from each other. There wasn't *too* much stealing going on, but it was still a fun game and I think everyone was happy with whatever they got stuck with to take home.
This tree has picture ornaments of the kids. She adds a new one each year.

Pop likes to hand out $2 bills. It's kinda his "thing". Keith has a whole stack of them that Pop has given him over the years.

We also had a nice lunch while we were there. Daniel was fairly content to eat whatever food I fed him from the table, Etta took one bite of the macaroni noddles with spaghetti sauce on it and then ate the back-up lunch I had packed for her. The contrast between what the two kids will eat is night and day!

We visited for a bit longer after lunch and then we headed home so the kids could nap (D slept in the car on the way home and E took a good nap in her own bed).

Merry Wenzler/Zeller/Kunkel Christmas!
